There is quite a bit of talk about Being in Alignment these days, but what does that actually mean? And how do you know when you are out of alignment?
Simply put, the term “Being in Alignment” means to arrange yourself in line with your soul or higher self. More pointedly, it suggests the experience of feeling good and in sync with what you are creating, doing and even expecting. It is an expansive, emotional state and it feels good!
When you are out of alignment the emotions that may come up include feeling lonely, tired, cranky or even overwhelmed. According to Erin Cox (this week’s inspiring woman), sometimes, “women may describe being unhappy in their life, but they can’t put their finger on it….they are out of alignment.” They are holding on to limiting beliefs such as thinking that what they want is impossible, or that they just don’t have enough time.
Erin Cox is an author, speaker and business strategist. Her current work includes the creation of a mentoring and mastermind program for women entrepreneurs, sharing with them the ideas she wished she had had when she was first starting out.
“Going into business for yourself makes you very vulnerable,” says Erin. “There are all these little issues that you have never had to face before.” Getting clear on where your limiting beliefs stem from and figuring out what your mission is, is one of the ways in which Erin helps women reach the next level of their success. She has supported some pretty high achieving women with these challenges and watched as they became unstoppable.
Staying in perfect alignment is not a reality for any of us, but finding ways to work through our blocks and striving for realignment is probably the most important thing you can do for yourself and your business.
In this interview, Erin expounds on her journey to realign her own life and the indicators that clearly show each of us what it looks like when we are out of balance. She also shares her personal thoughts and practices on success and how she manages, with a thriving business and three children, to constantly bring everything back to center.
