If you are an entrepreneur, chances are you have already discovered the work that you feel passionate about, but does that mean that you are feeling in flow? You know, that feeling that you are doing exactly what you were meant to be doing; when time seems to stand still and you feel inspired and enriched by your work. Sometimes you just know it, and other times, like with this week’s inspiring woman, it shifts and changes and you reach new levels of flow.
When Amy Lippmann, founder of MarketingForHealthCoaches.com, changed her course from a career in corporate to her own business as a health coach, she thought she had found that flow, and in many ways she had. For 5 years she was happy and optimistic about her decision. Then, after the birth of her first child, working only part time, things began to shift.
When she finally felt energized to step back into her business full time, something felt different. While doing some additional trainings to grow her business, she realized that what she really wanted to do was to work behind the scenes, helping other coaches learn to market themselves and grow their business. At the time, Amy worried that she would feel regret, but the momentum of feeling in flow kept her going. She knew that her journey in health coaching had been the right step for her at the time, but now, after fully immersing herself in the marketing aspects of coaching, she knows she is in the place she was meant to be.
For most of her clients, Amy works to help them find that “sweet spot” in their business. That place where they feel confident and happy with what they are doing and are attracting the clients they want. To reach that goal, you need to start by “getting clear on what makes you unique; what specific skills you are good at,” says Amy. When you combine that with the knowledge of what your audience really wants, you will be in flow.
In this week’s interview, Amy shares her story of shift and flow, charming us with her beautiful yet humbling definition of success. Amy Lippmann has a wealth of knowledge to impart, helping her clients learn to leverage their time more effectively by getting online. And, as Inspired entrepreneurs, Amy gives us an opportunity for a great list building freebie that you can find here: listbuildingforhealthcoaches.com Enjoy!
